A new megaspore genus from the Lower Carboniferous (Asbian) of northern England

Abstract. A new megaspore genus Triangupapillaesporites is described from Lower Carboniferous deposits of northern England. The genus is characterised by a three layered exine wall, the innermost layer bearing? papillae.
